TAMPA, FL, Aug. 1, 2001, (BASTA PINOY NEWS) -- Chaired by past Sampaguita Ball Chairman Mrs. Lucy Bautista, the Grand Opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly completed Bayanihan Arts Center in Tampa, Florida, will take place on Saturday, September 22, 2001.

The celebrations will start with a traditional celebration of the Holy Mass to be held at the premises, followed immediately by the blessing of the center, a cocktail hour, then a dinner dance in honor of all supporters of the Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc. (PCFI).

According to PCFI President Bill Ick, members of the Philippine community and presidents of different Philippine organizations all over Florida will attend this memorable event. High-ranking officials from the City of Tampa and the neighboring counties as well as officials of the Philippine Embassy from Washington, DC are also expected to grace the occasion.

The day after the grand opening ceremonies, the Bayanihan Arts Center will be open to the public. The OPEN HOUSE, which will be from 12 PM to 5 PM on Sunday, September 23rd, will allow everyone to come in and look around the new center. The public will also have the opportunity to meet and interview the President, officers, and board members of the Philippine Cultural Foundation. Drinks and snacks will be served.
