BASTA PINOY! ENTERTAINMENT REVIEW

MIYA NOLASCO: Grooves Once More

She resembles Vina Morales, but her jaws are more prominent... and she definitely is more daring
than the Cebuana singer-actress.

She had a grand entrance into the movies, starring no less on her first film, "Reputasyon," produced by her own mother, and sharing stellar billing with Amalia Fuentes and Romeo Vasquez.

After that movie, Miya Nolasco figured in a kidnapping controversy, which led to the filing of charges against a gay pimp who allegedly sold her in a high-class prostitution den in Quezon City.

After years of absence from the limelight, Miya is back in Seiko Films' "Mapagbigay," more daring than ever - also doing what other bombshells Nini Jacinto and Sophia Valdez are doing onscreen - and even more: she has a scene where her boobs are being poured on with wine.

And on the boobsie subject, Miya denies she underwent surgery to enhance her top figure. "Matagal nang malaki ang boobs ko. Hindi ko na ito kailangang dagdagan pa!" the comebacking sexy star howls. "Nang-iintriga lang sila, wala na siguro silang magawa!" she adds, in answer to the issue that she's the one being alluded to in blind items about a sexy star who had a bustlift.

Why is she joining the boldwagon? "Wala lang. Feel ko lang `yung istorya ng movie kaya pumayag ako. Magaling `yung direktor namin... Okey naman `tong boobs ko, hindi naman siguro ito nakakahiyang ipakita, at saka gusto ko, eh," she intones, talking like the bratty girl she has been known since she joined the movies.

She plays a movie star in the film and swears a lot of girls can relate to her character. Miya is happy that after she was handled by Elwood Perez in "Repustasyon," she's again handled by another award-winning director, Emmanuel H. Borlaza, in "Mapagbigay." (SNS)
